After years of travelling interrupted by periods of settling down I believe I am finding the balance.

With all that I own contained within a slide-on camper - (ancient) chained to the tray of a (new) Mitsubishi Triton utility, I am as mobile as I want to be. That is, I am not adventurous on my own so would not go into 4WD country anyway - I think it is called caution? Or am I now of an age where I can (appear to) be sensible at last?

Always ready to move as the mood and circumstances dictate, I tend to stay in one spot when possible - such as when house sitting - and enjoy getting the feel of different communities as I go.

One constant is a laptop computer! Friends tease me as to how long I would survive without it. Well, there is an upside - the longer I am off-line, the more wealth I accumulate within the only game I play on Facebook - the School of Magic. Then I can spend to my heart's content. In many ways, that splurging seems to have replaced so much impulse buying.

My on-line shopping has mostly to be confined to those times I know I will have an address to which items can be sent. With little space for books, my reading purchases are now more likely to be downloading an ebook for my Sony reader.
